This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I am an amateur 3d artist inspired by digital creations I find all over the net... I'm still learning and tend to post everything on here, from new to old to serve as a reminder of where my work was and where it is now. I am known as "kat" (katsumi1980) on Eveonline. I post things from quick renders with no lights, to final scenes with lighting and correct texturing. My goal on here is to show the real world results you get when using products like Daz Studio, Carrara and Bryce. I stand against using Photoshop and using postwork to "enhance" the results. I believe the practice of using Photoshop to enhance renders is deceitful, just like using it to enhance camera photos. You do not really see what the camera/program can do: instead you're seeing what Photoshop can do. Therefore none of my images use any kind of manipulation outside of the rendering program. What you see is 100% the programs rendering capabilities.
Throughout my little amature life in 3D, I mainly use Poser, Daz 3.x, Carrara and Bryce. Recently I've been studying up on Shaders, and my biggest handicap: Lighting. I plan to release some of my quick renders showing what I've learned and how I've changed the look from my beginning days to now. There's quite a difference shading and lights can do in the virtual world. I've found digital work to be much harder than in the real world. In real life I go out, and snap pictures, they look fine. but in 3d: you need simulated light, and that's where things get comlpex.
